  • Because I promised:

    yellowk

    yellowk2

The Mason Dixon kimono.  Yellow peaches and cream cotton. Size 4 needles. It's a bit more than half done here.

I made it to work today.  Now, it feels like I am fighting off Nature Boy's cold. I tell ya, it's going to be a looong week.

  • Whoa.....cuteness! I must go buy those books sometime

In other news - srsly? Size 4?!?! How loosely do you knit??? I always use 7's with Peaches & Cream. I think 4's would kill my hands!

  • @KTtheKCbride - LOL.  Very. Loose. Seriously, the pattern calls for 6s and I always have to go down a good two sizes with needles.  And yes, sometimes those skinny needles do cramp up my hands a bit! The 4s aren't so bad though.

  • Awww!! I use size 4 for almost everything, I too am an annoyingly loose knitter. I think that if you knit loosely, the size of the needle almost doesn't matter - the yarn dictates the stitch size, especially with something as rigid as peaches and cream. After knitting with merino wool for a while, that stuff feels like gimp in my hands.

Cute sweater! If you have any tips on seaming the arms, I'm all ears. I can do straight up garter to garter, but those steps.. I was never really happy with. Hope you feel better soon!

  • I love those Mason Dixon patterns!!! Your sweater is very pretty!!! Hope you and the family are feeling better soon!
