  That's how much we spent at the mechanic yesterday having some routine maintenance (timing belt, timing belt tensioner and water pump replaced to the tune of $600+) and then some odd fix-it jobs (new blower motor, brake work and I believe something else) done on dh's car.

  Ouch.

  But my mechanic promised me in the spring that if I take care of that car, it'll roll two hundred thousand miles for me.  So, it is my vested goal to take care of it and see 200,000 on the odometer.  Mind you, dh actually is driving that car now, so he may be the one to see it...However, we have YEARS before we get there...So, don't be sitting on the edge of your seat in suspense!

  So...fall is here. It kinda snuck up the past week or so. The leaves are beginning to turn, the flowers are pretty much gone by.....I guess I'd better pull my glads soon so they don't freeze and die this winter.  My last couple of stems made me some gorgeous cutting stems!

  

  

  

  The best thing about this bunch of bulbs was that I was given them by a friend....So, I had no idea what the flowers would look like.  It looks like it was a colorful assortment and has been so fun to see the color of the bud and then wait to see what the actual blossom would look like.
